Like the USA, Argentina is populated almost entirely by the descendants of immigrants --nearly *half* of whom originated from Italy in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The major port of entry was Buenos Aires, the capital and largest city of Argentina. For Researchers, the organization that has produced the most success is:

Many Italian immigrants attended the church of Nuestra Senora de Balvanera in Buenos Aires. The baptism and wedding records are available on microfilm at the Buenos Aires FHC, and presumably copies can be ordered from other FHC locations.
